Need help!
I've been hooked on Webkinz, especially trading for the past year. 7 weeks ago we welcomed our son, Jaden, into the world and I haven't played as much as I used to for obvious reason, LOL.
I WAS trying to collect all the rare themes for rooms and came down to just a few items (I THINK) that I'm missing. Trouble is, I can't find them at the curio (and I even signed up as a deluxe member to get that extra area for shopping) and no one has them to trade or doesn't want to part with them. Tonight I FINALLY (after giving away the world!) got my Aztec bed. I can't believe how excited I was- maybe it's the lack of sleep?
Still, I really would love to finish those rooms, but it's unclear as to how many historical themes there are and what items are in each theme. For instance, I need the medieval tv. I have the beds and thrones and odds and ends but not the tv. Is it possible that they just retired it as a rare item and I'm out of luck? I saw it once and stupidly turned it down, not realizing what it was. Now, 6 months later I haven't seen once since.
Also, regarding the themes. I'm trying for an Aztec room, I have 2 Egyptian rooms and a Medieval room. But lately the rare floors or wallpaper I see aren't clearly connected to the actual items. I have an Egyptian room with the Egyptian pharaoh bed, but then there's also the emperor's purple settee, and I THOUGHT I saw an emperor's bed. So is there a Roman theme, as well? The Egyptian theme is a bit different from what could be a Roman theme, and I'm wondering, is Aztec considered "Ancient Civilization" or is that the Roman stuff? Are we looking at Greek, now, as well? As a History buff, I'm trying to make sense of it all but it is confusing.
I'm wandering a tad here, but does anyone know if there is a LIST of these themes and the items each contains? Is it really too late for me to find that Medieval tv (Ye Old moving Picture box, I think it's called) and is there really an emperor bed? I could swear I saw one, it was purple like the settee.
I don't do the forests or anything, just the trading, so could THAT be the problem? Do I need to trade the cards to get the items I need?
If anyone could shed some light on these rare theme collections, I'd really appreciate it! I'd like to trade when the baby's sleeping in the evenings, and if there's no real set rule to it, it's kind of a moot point. I'd just like to know what I need to finish my rooms, and how to go about getting it.
Also, anyone know why I keep getting kicked off when I'm in the trading room? We have fast computers and a great connection, and it only happens on the Webkinz site, and it always seems to be right when I have a good trade going!
Okay, I'm done, LOL! Just curious and wonder if anyone can give me some pointers!
