Webkinz is so popular now that Ganz are actually releasing Webkinz Plush Clothing as it appears on the Virtual Webkinz World. This is great as it brings us even more Webkinz Products to buy and show off to our friends, however I don’t know if these latest Webkinz innovations will be such a success as the Webkinz Stuffed Animals and Webkinz Trading Cards and Webkinz Charms before them.
Why do I not think that Webkinz Clothing will do well in “The Real World”? That’s simple - Webkinz’s biggest and most popular asset is its online or Virtual Webkinz World. That’s why everyone buys Webkinz, right? To get a better standing in Webkinz World!
Well, having Webkinz Plush Clothing may be a great idea - I don’t actually think it will take off as well as the Webkinz Charms or Webkinz Trading Cards have before it.
I will probably be wrong because everything with “Webkinz ” on seems to be getting bought now-a-days, but it’s just a thought about Webkinz Clothing.
Webkinz Trading Cards Series 2 has been in the pipeline for a long time from Ganz, but Webkinz news in the hood has it that the Webkinz trading cards 2nd Series are going to make a spectacular appearence in November 2007!
Rumors have been flying around for a while that a second series of Webkinz Trading Cards have been in the pipeline from Ganz for a few months now, and some went as far as to say they were going to be launched in August!
Well, apparently at a trade show last week, a Ganz sales rep spilt the beans on how the Webkinz Trading Cards Series 2 are apparently, going to be delayed!!
The second series of the Webkinz Trading Cards has apparently been delayed because the foil used in the cards has been delayed from France!
Let me just stress now, that this is entirely a Webkinz Trading Cards rumor and is not the 100% truth… let’s just wait and see how it all plays out!
Wow I never knew for one second I would have to post so many bad things about Ganz, but alas - I’ve got to flag up yet another problem with the Webkinz Trading Cards. Instead of rambling on forever about how Ganz is letting us all down, let me just show you what the newest problem is now:
If you get lucky, or if you ever win the lottery then you might have the chance to buy some of the Webkinz Trading Cards that Ganz have made. Well, one of the big features of Webkinz Trading Cards is the fact that you could get “free Webkinz” to use in Webkinz World. So instead of having the pet itself, you will have a Webkinz trading card and a virtual pet. Seems like a great idea, doesn’t it??
Well, what happens if you get a nice little monkey or golden retriever in your Webkinz Trading Cards pack and you have the chance to register them on Webkinz World?? Well, you go and register them at Webkinz World hopefully to get two more cute little Webkinz to play with.
The problem now is that tons of people have been buying the Webkinz Trading Cards, getting a Webkinz and are registering that Webkinz in Webkinz World. Then, instead of getting a cute little monkey or golden retriever or whatever they got… they get a measily frog!! It’s so bad that I haven’t actually heard of anyone who’s got anything BUT a frog, from “getting lucky” in a Webkinz Trading Cards pack.
Now it may not “seem like much” but if you consider that Ganz have put these Webkinz Trading Cards out to their fans with the intent of taking their money, and now are discovering that there is a major problem with the way they work on Webkinz World - you’ve really got to ask… “Did they even do any testing??”or even… “Do they even care?”
It seems to me to like Ganz are trying to do too much and it looks like some of it’s actually backfiring on them. Look at the major Webkinz shortage across the country - that could easily have been avoided if they didn’t want to introduce the Clydesdale Webkinz round about now. I’d rather buy the “old” Webkinz than buy none at all!!
You’ve also got to look at the fact that the Webkinz Trading Cards are almost no where to be seen! It’s as if they are not being produced or something they are that scarce! Not only that, but the lucky ones who actually get Webkinz Trading cards might win a free virtual Webkinz. When they adopt their new pet, they simply get a Frog!! What a bummer that is for anyone who’s a loyal Webkinz lover, like me!
Sheesh… I think we need to start a petition or something and send it to Ganz. Can’t it see that we are starving out here!?

Webkinz World finally has a place for all you lucky Webkinz lovers who have got hold of Webkinz Trading Cards! The code shop allows you to type in your secret code and collect your prizes and items. Pretty neat, isn’t it??
However good it is though, I don’t think Ganz can deny the fact that they have all but ruined their big Webkinz Trading Cards launch with mass under-stocking and not enough supply to meet demand. Webkinz trading cards are getting so scarce now that devoted Webkinz lovers are starting to lose faith in Ganz, for this Webkinz Trading Cards fiasco and the huge shortages of actual Webkinz in stores.
It’s getting quite annoying to be honest, that such a big company can’t muster enough man power and money to get more trading cards produced for its biggest asset… It’s fans! Us!
Phew, got that off my chest. I will probably lash out tomorrow too LOL but Ganz are seriously annoying me with what seems to be their incompetence to make enough Webkinz!!!
Ah well, we’ve still got the forum to mingle with other Webkinz Lovers which should keep me occupied for another hour before I need to get back on Webkinz World LOL.

Wow - what a predicament! I’ve been posting about how certain shops are reporting that Webkinz are coming back into stock, some even with the elusive Webkinz Trading Cards, whilst at least 75% of the Webkinz community are holding their breath everytime they phone a store… because the Webkinz & Webkinz Trading Cards are so hard to get hold of!
Word “on the street” has it that Ganz have finally got their act together and are shipping Webkinz to all the retailers they can, some with trading cards and some without I guess. However, the big problem is simply the demand for the Webkinz! I mean - we’ve been starved of our little loves for so long now that it’s almost torture!
Now that they are shipping again, everyone seems to be jumping at the first chance they get to go and get those little critters, making them all sold out! A friend told me that at her local Hallmark store, they got in 350 Webkinz… but had literally sold out in a matter of 45 minutes!! This leaves me wondering if we will ever be able to have a nice steady supply of Webkinz ever again…
There’s also the small fact that many of the retailers who normally stock Webkinz don’t actually know what Webkinz Trading Cards are! It’s a crime I know, but it just shows how chaotic it must be at Ganz right now, with a brand new line of Webkinz Trading Cards to product, along with tons of Webkinz which have been delayed and the need to tell all their retailers about everything that’s happening.
It’s a wonder then, that they’ve actually been able to get little Clydesdale ready to ship, with it actually appearing in some shops! Although I haven’t had the privelage of seeing it yet, some of my friends across the country have tipped me off that Clydesdale Webkinz has started to trickle into retailers.
As many of you probably know, Clydesdale is the next on my hitlist and I can’t wait until it comes into stores near me. I just hope that I get there before anyone else. A simple word of advise would be to simply stay away from EBay for ANYTHING Webkimz, because the prices are likely to be off the scale. I would just wait, however hard it is, and then get to your local Webkinz shop as many times as you can in the hope they are in stock.
It’s a drag, I know, but Ganz are playing a dangerous game with us right now. If they are not careful they will have all of us Webkinz die-hards on their doorstep with signs and shouts

I’ve posted a few times about how Ganz are getting their act together in finally sending their Webkinz plush toys out to “starving” retailers, who are literally getting bombarded by a stampede of angry customers demanding to buy Webkinz. I was also under the impression that they are sending out Webkinz Trading Cards with the normal Webkinz apparently, too.
….Well I want to apologise right now!
I’m afraid that Ganz seems to have us running around on a wild goose chase for our beloved Webkinz! It’s becoming apparent that on the Webkinz Land Forum and other Webkinz communities, that the Webkinz that we know and love are actually not reaching our local stores!
There are so many Webkinz lovers wanting to spend their saved money on those little adorable cuties and the new Webkinz Trading Cards that go with them but cannot seem to find them ANYWHERE! (Well… apart from e-bay LOL)
This is starting to get me feeling quite sad. How can a company like Ganz actually have the coldness to starve us of our Webkinz for so long! Not only that… but they go and release a brand new Webkinz product in the form of Trading Cards and deny us from even buying any!
It’s like it’s a conspiracy or something! It’s as if Ganz have purposely set out to make us hooked on Webkinz and then just cut our supply. The only way I can see myself forgiving Ganz for this is for them to release little Clydesdale soon and give their stores a nice bunch of Webkinz Trading Cards… Pronto!
I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s starting to get slightly annoying that tons of Webkinz lovers aren’t able to “feed the need” simply because Ganz can’t meet our huge demand!

Is it just me or are people getting really desperate to get their hands on Webkinz Trading Cards!? I haven’t seen them in my local store yet but some people obviously have access to them and are selling them for HUGE prices on e-bay!
Seriously - I’ve just seen “5 Pack of Webkinz Trading Cards” for the measily price of just $66 & that’s got 2 hours to go!!

As promised, I want to talk about the new Webkinz Trading Cards Feature Codes. Webkinz feature codes come in every pack of Webkinz Trading Cards, and remarkably Ganz have stuffed five feature codes into each pack!!
But what are feature codes? Well, Ganz have said that they make “collecting even more exciting” in the form of giving you and your Webkinz a top secret surprise when you type in the feature codes! The feature codes will determine whether you get a virtual online pack of trading cards or one of the prizes… meaning that you can collect the cards online too!!
Although Ganz are keeping tight-mouthed about the exact prizes you could win, they have said that there is a ton of food, items and exclusive and rare items, available through the Curio shop. They have even posted that this bed is available:
They have also said that a few lucky members will win 50,000 Kinzcash or unlock the ENTIRE Egyptian theme!! WOW!
With Webkinz flooding back into stores nationwide, I wonder how long it will take for them to run out again… along with these cards LOL!
I posted a few days ago about my discovery of Webkinz Trading cards on Ebay. Well now Ganz, Webkinz’s parent company have officially announced the cards on their homepage!
What Ganz have said about their Webkinz Trading Cards is basically that there are 3 types of card you can collect:
“Challenge Cards”: Where you can challenge a friend to the Challenge game that Ganz have designed. There are 15 cards to collect and you can even combine cards or even build your own deck to test your skills!
“Curio Shop Cauriosities”: Own your favorite items from Arte’s shop on foil cards! You can read up about what history the cards have and even see what Arte himself has to say about them!
“Webkinz Doodlez”: these cards all feature never before seen artistic designs of Webkinz from Ganz’s own artists! There are 8 foil doodlez cards to collect.
There’s so much to talk about right now and not enough time! I got to dash but want to wish you the best of luck in finding these cards in the shops LOL! If they are anything like real Webkinz then they will be so hard to find.
