We had a major crash and have lost a lot of the work, posts and even members who joined after September 2007.

With your help, we can make Kinz-Land bigger and better than it was before!

Back to School is upon us and, for most kids, Webkinz are still in the forefront of their minds.

Summer was hounded by the lack of Webkinz in stores and the clamber for Webkinz Charms - however now that kids everywhere have bought the Webkinz they want (hopefully), going back to school has never been such an interesting time.

You see however cute and cuddley, Webkinz are still toys. Toys which don’t help directly with learning and therefore are not needed in the classroom. This said, many kids going back to school are having to make an extremely hard transition from the Summer life of getting up late, playing on Webkinz World until 3PM and then going out to play soccer or something with your friends.

Back to school means that the kids will have to get up incredibly early and might even have to leave their Webkinz back at home! Imagine being unable to take a look at how your Webkinz is doing for a whole 8 hours or more!!

This made me wonder - kids are going back to school, some with Webkinz in backpack; some without. My question is:

“Should Webkinz Allowed in School?”

Webkinz are the biggest craze this year without a doubt. However, should they be allowed into the classroom or should they be banned and confined to your bedroom at home?

This could be argued all day, however I feel that Webkinz are not of any educational significance meaning that, in short, they should be kept away from school. I do believe that Webkinz should be allowed in classrooms but should be confined to a creche or a special Webkinz area.

I don’t think that Webkinz should be allowed on the computers at school simply because I think that they aren’t significant to the learning process.
