Last year on May 4th, Kinz-Land was made! Now to celebrate, Kinz-Land administrators and moderators have been preparing for a great Kinz-Land party with contests and prizes! This will take place on THE WEEK OF May 4th! (information below…)

What to look forward to and some basic rules:
1. BE KIND
2. NO leaving bad comments, negative reputation points, criticism on anyones game/contest thread.
3. NO Cheating (If its found out you are cheating you will not be allowed to participate in any of the games/contests)
4. FOLLOW all rules and instruction to whatever game/contest you enter. We want to see you win

Here are a few of the prizes :
1. Webkinz Plushies: Velvety Elephant, Black Cat, Lil Basset Hound, Lil Golden Retriever & Lil St. Bernard. (IF you win one of these plushies and want them sent to you, I can do that, BUT CUDDLEYONE MUST get written permission slips from your parents, also your parents must be the one that gives me the address (BY EMAIL) to where I am sending the Kinz to. I’m sure once you win you will be ready to play with your new friend…. I will PM you the code and either reseal the code or shred it if you can’t have it sent to you, this will insure privacy.

This is just some of the exciting things we will be doing the week of May 4th. Some of the above prizes will come from either a Mod or Admin as our way of thanking you for being the most awesome group of members we could ask for. Once a contest or game begins, please make sure to READ and FOLLOW all instructions… I would hate for anyone to be disqualified for not reading instructions. If you are unsure about something in a game/contest please PM the host for more information.

Each Mod/Admin or combine team will provide all instructions, prizes and rules. 1st place and on will be determined by the amount of entries in each category.

There has been a lot of conversation lately about whether or not it’s okay to trade items in Webkinz World. Most of the confusion comes from the line in the User Agreement that says that items can not be “traded”.

Items CAN be traded in Webkinz World for other Webkinz online items. Items CANNOT be traded for real-world items or services.
-”I’ll trade you a Mauna Loa Lamp for your Holiday Tubbie Tummies Bear” is A-OK.
-”I’ll trade you a Mauna Loa Lamp for an Xbox 360″ is NOT OK.
We will be releasing a Bulletinz and updating the User Agreement to make this distinction clear.

Again, we do not recommend trading through the KinzPost as it is not secure, but if you know the person well and want to do it, we have nothing against it. We are in testing of the secure trading system that I promised. It’s still a little ways away, but I think traders everywhere will be very happy once it’s released.

Skies was a lil hippo. He lived in Hallmark, where she waited with one other webkinz, a lil black lab. They were best friends. And neither of them were wanted, so they were sad; very sad! Skies wasn’t wanted because he had a little spot which was brown, on his back. It wouldn’t come off, and it made him look ugly.
One warm April day, a little girl came into the Hallmark store, dragging her tired mom to the webkinz stack. “MOM!” she shouted, “THERES ONLY 2 WEBKINZ!” Her mom took a look, and saw that her daughter was right. “Settle down, Marnie.” she said, “I like the hippo.” Marnie made a grossed out face, which said, ‘No way mom! Are you kidding!?’ But she grabbed it, and the lil black lab both, and headed to the counter.

This new rule is especially important to those who trade for Pet of the Month items! It is rather confusing, so I’ll use an example to illustrate the rule:

Let’s say that today you have adopted 4 Pet of the Month pets over the past few months. In addition, you have also traded for 3 other Pet of the Month items that you really liked. So, you have adopted 4 Pet of the Month Webkinz, but have 7 Pet of the Month items, right? Ganz’s new policy will not award you any Pet of the Month items until your Pet of the Month adoptions equals the number of Pet of the Month items in your account! In this situation, you would have to activate #5, #6, #7 and get no Pet of the Month items until you activate an 8th Pet of the Month!

One of our staff members has spoken with Customer Support at Webkinz and confirmed the new policy. For those that have already adopted and were not aware of the policy, there is a one time exception on an account to replace the item that you did not receive with the adoption.

For those that have traded for Pet of the Month items, we suggest that you KinzPost any “extra” items to a secondary account before adopting a new Pet of the Month on the main account.

UPDATE ON PET OF THE MONTH ARTICLE — this is an update to the news from this morning

I have received direct word from Ganz’s creative staff that there have been no changes to the Pet of the Month policy. The information given out this morning by the CS department was misinformation. As always, every Pet of the Month is supposed to come with a Pet of the Month loot bag, whether you have 1 Pet of the Month item or 50 Pet of the Month items and it does not depend on how many Pet of the Month adoptions you have made.

If you adopted a Pink Poodle today and did not receive your loot bag, it is likely due to a bug in the system and you may need to notify Ganz that your item was not awarded as it should have been.

Ganz is currently looking to see if there are any bugs in the awarding of Pet of the Month loot bags, so you may want to wait a few days to log in your Pink Poodle for April!

Contrary to what you might read on other sites, we have official word from Ganz that there is definitely no change to Pet of the Month! The Panda is definitely the May Pet of the Month! You get a loot bag with every Pet of the Month no matter how many pets or items you have. (the incorrect info was perhaps an April Fool’s prank?)
